It was David Solomon's first step in Hogwarts in over ten years. His luggage at his arm, Mister Solomon walked through the corridors with his signature smile on his face. When he wasn't busy buying his way into positions of power, he had been trying to spread his name and get more work experience. While he wasn't charming Witch Weekly with his award winning dazzling smile, he had sent in an application for being the Transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts. And, of course, he was accepted. Of course, this being Mister Solomon's only talent other than having charming smiles and priceless connections with some darker wizards who, under the right pay, would follow his every commands, this was practically in the bag from the moment he put his quill on the paper. David wondered if any of his classmates would be working at Hogwarts also; it was a bit of a dream for some, to live at Hogwarts. David chuckled. But I'm the only person who had their dreams come true. Good looking, wealthy, and powerful. It increased with each step, his acting getting better with all of this improvement. To others, he was David Solomon, the fearless lion of justice, fighting for the rights of the people... In reality, David Solomon was just about as courageous as a...as a....well, David didn't really know, he wasn't that smart either. Something that wasn't courageous. The newly Professor Solomon smiled at some students that passed him by, continuing to walk to his designated room by the Gryffindor dormitories. Maybe he'd see some familiar faces. Maybe he'd meet some nobodies. Either way, this year was to be wild, just how this boy-in-a-man's-body liked it. Voices sounded from behind a door, older ones. The teachers? Maybe there was a meeting of some sort? A rec room? Teachers lounge? Not really asking for permission, David gripped the handle with his strong hands and pulled the heavy door open. David looked in, grinning. "Knock knock."

The blonde headed Professor stormed around the room, her arms folded angrily across her chest as her heels clicked against the stone floor. Wilhelmina had never been one to argue much, or get angry easily, but it was very clear now that she was nearly beyond anger. "And how is that fair?" her movement stopped as she spoke, but quickly started up again, the clicking sound mixing with the chatter. "You just had a child, Wilhelmina. You shouldn't get back to class so quickly, the little one needs you. However, that's not the real reason you're here." Mina huffed, her nose wrinkling in frustration. "I realize that, but it's not like I can't bring the child to class on occasion. Besides, I've asked my husband to stay here with me, or at least in the immediate area. If the child isn't here, she will be with him." Another voice piped up almost immediately, nearly cutting her off. "Bring a new born baby to class? And to a class that is all about dangerous magical creatures? That's insane!"
"Insane? I took this job because I can handle the animals, and the last thing I'm going to allow is my baby being injured by anything or anyone!" Mina's voice nearly growled as she spoke, insulted by a fellow professor assuming that she couldn't handle her class and her child. "Wilhelmina, please!" As suddenly as the argument was started, it was ceased by the sound of the door opening and an unfamiliar voice. Her eyes quickly whipped toward the newcomer who had interrupted the meeting.
She was prepared to yell at the student who had decided to barge right in when it was clear that there was something going on in the room, and something important. However, Mina was taken by surprise when she noticed it was an adult and a rather familiar looking one. Her heart began to thump against her chest, and in moments she had lost her voice. Her eyebrows moved together in concern and confusion as she stared at what she was almost sure was someone she had gone to school with, someone she was glad to be away from. "David?"

David Solomon looked down at the tiny frame of a woman who happened to be staring incredulously up at him. "David?" David gave a small smile in greeting. "Um...yes. I'm the new Transfiguration professor, Professor David Solomon...?" he said in more of a questioning tone than a hello. Where did she know him from? He surely didn't recognize her, but then again, maybe she just knew him from his political position in the Ministry. Most witches did know him from his Most Charming Smile award in Witch Weekly, and that was a smile he sported often. Why be glum? David peered down at her, his eyebrows raising. She was rather...attractive. Weren't all the teachers at Hogwarts supposed to be old and wrinkly? Hopefully, this lady in particular was single. David didn't mean to peer down at her, but God, he had to know where he knew her from, she was so damn familiar... "Do I know you from somewhere?" His greedy golden, lusty, crowlike eyes scanned her body up and down. Suddenly, it hit him. "Mina White, is that you?" David laughed aloud, coming over to the young woman and embracing her in a hug, his large arms around her frail body. "It's good to see ya." Hopefully, whatever stormy weather they had in the past had blown over by now. It wasn't like he... No, that hadn't happened. He hadn't taken advantage of the poor girl, he wasn't a beast. Yes, denial was a state of mind he lived in, occupying it enough to believe it was true. She couldn't have a boyfriend either, or else she probably wouldn't have locked herself away from the world at Hogwarts. This would be a piece of cake. His arms rested around her, two of his fingers on her spine. His finger moved in the most miniscule way down it; her touch was familiar, one he had so craved once as a young man... One he'd get to taste again? Only time would tell, but for a man like David Solomon, this was an easy and effortless task.

"Mina White, is that you?" She froze against him, her arms twitching up to wrap around his waist as he hugged her. It was awkward, being this close to him, to anyone right now. The only person she had hugged recently was Liam and...She shook her head, that was different. Those were friends, and loved ones. David had done something that Mina still wasn't sure about to this day, something she couldn't even remember correctly. There were just short flashes of memories from that night in her head, and none of it made sense. She just knew that was the night her and Liam became as close as they were now, that was the night she learned to trust him more than anything. And she knew that thinking about what had happened previously was making her a little nauseous.
"Uh.." she felt his finger travel slowly down her back, sending a strange shiver up her spine. It was almost a painful feeling, like a piece of icy scratching up her bare back. She put it behind her, he was only trying to be nice. Maybe he had apologized for what he had done wrong, if he had done anything wrong. Gently dropping her arms and peeling her body away from his own, attempting to pry herself from his grasp. "David..Professor Soloman, I think that if we're going to have some kind of heartfelt reunion we should leave the rest of them here and go somewhere..more private. " Mina's eyes searched the man's face and shook her head, feeling a bit light headed. "Or..I suppose I've said my piece here, and everyone knows how I feel. I need to leave."
Mina stepped away from David, then around him and quickly out of the heavy doors. Once in the corridor, Mina quickly moved to the wall just beside the classroom door and pressed her damp forehead against the cool stone wall. She felt like a student again, remembering occasional times when she had done this to keep herself calm when she was young. They were silly reasons, except for when Darien had died, just like now. She was overreacting about something that had happened so many years ago, and something that wasn't even that big of a deal. If it was that important, she would be able to remember it.

David felt Mina stiffen against his hold, which made the new professor feel a little confused. She should be greeting him with open arms, fawning over him like everyone else had done in this school. She should be his by now. "Uh.." Mina became as frozen as a pole, which was frustrating for Mr. Solomon. He felt angry at this, which made him only desire her more. She'd be his. "David..Professor Solomon, I think that if we're going to have some kind of heartfelt reunion we should leave the rest of them here and go somewhere..." David blinked. It had been this easy? Still, she showed no signs of drawing back her steely defense. He could easily overpower the frail woman, he knew that much. He could use her and toss her aside into the kilnfire like an old copy of The Daily Prophet, and much to his utter disgust, the idea grew more and more favorable by the moment... "...more private." His eyebrows raised, watching her as she walked out the door, not paying any attention to whatever else came out of her mouth. He loosened the tie at his neck, a satisfied smirk coming to his face. "Whatever you say, Professor White." His footsteps were heavy against the stone floors of the familiar castle. Somehow, the hazy feeling of being a predator had come over his judgement as he stalked Mina through the halls... No, she wanted this. She invited him to follow...right? His hawklike golden eyes caught the young Professor with her forehead against the cold, unforgiving stone walls, and the desire to overpower her came to him again. Yes, he lived in denial of what he did to her; it would just shatter his reputation. David Solomon - politician, handsome...rapist. No, that was not something he would have taint his precious image. So he lived in denial of what he did to any woman, Mina White or not.. Even after he did it again. And again. And again... His hand fell down on the pillar, his body resting over hers, but not touching, in a gentle manner. This was a familiar situation, being with a woman. And he always got his way - no one said no. "Mina..." he cooed, his voice a silky purr. "Are you...alright?" His head moved closer to hers, his voice a hot, breathy (?) whisper in her ear. "I hope I haven't upset you."

Mina took a deep breath as she felt the man's heat around her body, shaking her head slowly. "Upset?" Mina spoke quietly, pressing her forehead firmly against the wall before pushing from under David and slipping past him. "No, no. I'm not upset." Her eyes flicked back to David before she stepped out of her heels and bent to pick them up before starting slowly down the nearly empty corridor. "It just got a little..warm in there, is all. I probably just need to get outside, or get a drink. Maybe make my way to the lake, ya know..alone.." She continued to glance back toward the man, checking to see if he was following her. A part of her wanted someone around, with this sudden feeling of danger surrounding her, but she wasn't completely sure if David was causing this or if he was just going to help.
She clenched at her heels in her hand, biting down on her bottom lip as she heard David's heavy footsteps behind her. What was she doing? She was acting like he was going to kill her! She hadn't acted so silly since she was a student here. Stopping, Mina turned and looked up at David, her hands behind her back. "Sorry..I'm just feeling a bit strange right now." Taking a step closer to him, trying to calm herself down, trying to stop her heart from attacking her chest. "We can talk, if you'd like. I mean, it's been years since we've seen each other hasn't it? And I'm sure we have..a lot to catch up on."

Mina started to shrink away from him, which made David take to confusion. She was still on this hard to get act? It was fun at first, but now it was just plain frustrating from being in her mind game too long. Maybe she still remembered... No. She would be silenced if she dared to speak. No one would ruin his path to power. "Going outside and getting a drink?" David said, one of his eyebrows raising a litte increduously. "I wasn't aware Hogwarts had a barista." David smirked at the young professor. "But I might as well trek along with you. If I remember properly, you had quite the knack for getting yourself in trouble." Something in his eyes flickered darkly. "But you didn't, did you?" he asked, his voice shadowy soft, cradling her face in his rather large hands. "You were just caught in the wrong places at the wrong times." His hand on her tensed a little, the grip a little stronger. "You see, that's the thing that can knock you out of the ring in the world of politics, love." he said, his voice strangely soft, it sounded unnatural on him. "And I've had plenty of experience with that, trust me." Something treacherous began to surface within him, the award winning Most Dazzling smile dissapearing into a snarl disguised as a smirk. "You see," he said, his voice with a thin hint of humor but still trying to get a hidden meaning in. "My sister was...less than proud of my actions behind office, and you can't have one person ruin your entire life and reputation, now can you?" His eyes turned to cutting knives, a spark of a madman behind them. "Now she's been silenced - no no, don't look at me, precious, I wouldn't dare get my hands dirty. Even the purest of men have a pricetag. Even I have my pricetag, Miss White, and that is the reason alone why I am at Hogwarts. And that...that is my secret. "So, you wanted to talk, did you Miss White? It's funny how people talk so much but without anything of importance. That's the funny part. Everyone's afraid of being the one of letting the cat out of the bag!" He smiled. "That's the way we politicians like it -" He moved in dangerously close, his eyes dangerously wild and angry. "And I'd prefer it if you went with the status quo." His hand went from her face in that instant, one going behind her head in a lover's embrace before a kiss. "Now," he said with a lethal look on his face, but still pursuing her nonetheless. "To that barista?"

A small, nervous smile crept onto her lips as he attempted a joke about what she had mentioned. As funny as she pretended it was, it had been frightening that David had caught her lie in an attempt to get away. The problem was, she couldn't put her finger on why she was so frightened of him. Even now, as she stared up at him, her eyes flicking back and forth across the man's face, she couldn't seem to bring her memories back. The young professor tensed as she felt his rough hands against her face, the nervous smile slowly leaving her face and being replaced with a rather blank stare up at him. "I really don't need you to go with me.." she spoke quietly, and it seemed that her soft words had gone unnoticed as he continued to speak.
As she stared to pull away, David said something that caught her off guard. "But you didn't, did you? You were just caught in the wrong places at the wrong times." Those words, the sound of his voice when he spoke that, the heat of his hands against her skin. Something was coming back. She swallowed hard, her eyes locking with his own as she felt his hands get rigid against her jaw. ""You see, that's the thing that can knock you out of the ring in the world of politics, love." Her pounded suddenly, attacking her chest with heavy, nervous thumps. Someone had grabbed her out of nowhere, dug his hands into her arms. There would be bruises. "And I've had plenty of experience with that, trust me." Sudden pain, through her entire body, mainly in her back and head. She was being shoved against something, something hard. "So, you wanted to talk, did you Miss White?" A sudden chill, a stinging chill that ran up her entire body, that made her feel dirty and vulnerable, that caused her stomach to turn. "Everyone's afraid of being the one of letting the cat out of the bag!" A warm pressure on her lips, the feeling of a pair dangerous of hands on her hips, familiar hands. "That's the way we politicians like it -" A sudden tug, sharp pain, blood, the feeling of another body grinding against her own, grunting mixed with the quiet sounds of sobbing. "And I'd prefer it if you went with the status quo." And it was over, her body hit the ground and the feeling of cold stone washed over her entire body. There were scratches in her hips, her arms, and her lower body ached as if someone had stabbed her repeatedly. In moments things were black, cold, and the silence had surrounded the area as it was before.
She felt his hand in her hair, on the back of her head as if he was going to kiss her. Her eyes dropped for a moment, a sudden sickness coming over her. This was that David, not the one who she pursued for months because she found him incredibly handsome. This man was beyond ugly and disgusting, he didn't belong here and Mina was not going to be the one to let him ruin a magical place like Hogwarts again.
"Now, to that barista?" Mina couldn't find her voice at first, but she knew something needed to be done. He was doing exactly what he had done to her back then, he was tricking her. Luring her in with his amazing looks, his threatening words, his affectionate gestures and he was going to ruin her the way he did back then. Her eyebrows furrowed in anger and her hands went out to pull his arm from around her as she stepped back. "You're not clever, David. You're an idiot, and you always will be. But more than that, you're a monster and I know what you're doing. Lucky for you, though, I'm not like I was back then. I'm not going to ignore all of this, I'm not going to go crying to someone about it and put it away in the back of my mind like nothing happened. I don't care who or what you are in society, but I'm not going to let you get away with these things. I's about time someone knew who and what you really are, David, and I'm going to be the one to let the cat out of the bag."
She grinned sweetly to him before attempting to shove by him and trot proudly back toward the way the two had came, she was going back to that meeting. She was going to put a stop to that man being here.

David looked slightly pleased as Mina shrank away in revoltion at his words, but that quickly turned to anger as she turned rigid against him once again. She managed to pry her hands away from his grip, stepping away from him in disgust. I don't care who or what you are in society, but I'm not going to let you get away with these things." David's golden eyes became alight with a dangerous rage. She wasn't... "It's about time someone knew who and what you really are, David, and I'm going to be the one to let the cat out of the bag." Mina gave an infuriatingly idiotic smile to him as she walked away from him, her heels still in her hands and bare feet skidding the grass. It only took a couple strides for David to catch up with her, grabbing her harshly by her forearms and slamming her against the stone wall of the castle. "Don't you dare, White." he all but shouted, the veins in his neck popping out in rage as his grip tightened around her. A sick smile came on his face. "Now, how does this look familiar?" he questioned aloud, a sadistic demeanor in his voice. "Oh, yes. This is exactly how you looked that day I found you lurking in the corridors." His mouth moved closer to her ear, as if to tell her a secret. "And you deserved it, don't think you didn't. You were just a pathetic, weak little girl, and that's all you are still. It's people like you that we'll get rid of when the time is right. Even though she ouldn' see it, David smiled cruelly. "No one will believe you. If you even attempted to, I'd erase every evidence of you on Earth. You and all your loved ones...gone. Don't think I won't, because I've done it before, and nothing's stopping me this time." David breathed in her ear while chuckling coldly. "You don't stand a chance against me. Against them....us." He pulled his head back, his eyebows furrowing in rage. "Maybe you need to be taught a lesson."

Voices swirled around him. He could easily recognize that of Mina White, whose child he had helped bring into the world. But who did the harsher voice belong to? She seemed to be straining to be polite to this other person, some other man. Mina didn't seem like the type to cheat on her husband, especially so soon after birthing her first child. Definately not with this harsh voiced man, either.
The cat out of the bag? What was she talking about? He didn't seem to like her words, because everything went quiet. Leaning against the wall as he was, he felt light vibrations as though something had been slammed against it, and a low mumbling. It seemed the deeper voiced man was speaking, though it was too low for him to make out any words. Maybe now was the time for him to step in, before something bad happened.
The cool night air stole his held breath as he stepped from the shadows, the grass sinking beneath his weight. Leaves swirled in their held positions, the stem of the leaf never leaving the branch. "Mrs. White, is this man bothering you?" His voice rang strong through the now still night air. Though he hoped against hope, he hoped she found comfort in his presence. He was a protecter by nature, maybe it was what had drawn his from the shadows to come to the aid of the female proffesor. Or maybe, deep down, he wanted her to seem him as a hero, or something of the sort.
But he knew for certain that he wasn't going to stand back and let such an act happen unhindered by himself. Whatever it was that this new figure was threatening, he wasn't going to have such an easy job of doing now.

Mina gasped and winced as her body hit the wall, freezing in that place as David leaned forward and whispered darkly in her ear. A shiver went up her spine with every word he spoke to her, her hand longing to slide into her pocket to pull out her dangerous wand and turn it upon the man. She couldn't move, however, mostly due to his grip upon her body and the rage swirling through her. Mina took a deep breath, struggling against David as he leaned back. "You're mistaken, David. There are several things standing in your way, one of which being myself. I'm not a little girl any longer, and I can take care of people like you just as easily as you say you can get rid of people like me. All I have to do is let everyone know what you have done, what you did to me years ago."
A voice, a much more familiar and soothing voice, cut the silent tension between David and Mina. Her eyes whipped over, a small smile crawling over her pale lips as she set eyes upon the gorgeous form of Roy Mustang. "And there's another one of those things." she mumbled toward David, pressing herself against the stone wall. "Does it look like I'm enjoying myself, Mustang? I certainly hope it doesn't" One last time, Mina squirmed in David's grasp and winced as his hands dug into her forearms. "Ugh. You know, I would greatly appreciate any kind of help from you."

David's face contorted into a wild snarl, which was truely the only leonine thing about the self proclaimed 'Lion of Justice'. He would have stricken her then and there if a man hadn't spoken from behind them. His head whipped around to face the voice directly; it was a young man, most likely another fellow Professor. His voice was strong, but it showed an odd concern for her. Mrs. White? So, she had gotten herself married. Knowing scum like her, she probably attatched herself like a leech to a balding old man with enough gold to fill Gringotts. Ah yes, he thought. Ignorance was truely bliss. Mina writhed under his brutal grasp, spitting words at him like venom. "You're mistaken, David. There are several things standing in your way, one of which being myself. I'm not a little girl any longer, and I can take care of people like you just as easily as you say you can get rid of people like me. All I have to do is let everyone know what you have done, what you did to me years ago." As he began to process the words she had said, his face unraveled and relaxed and his brow unwrinkled. Soon, the cold, redhanded coward dissapeared from his face and the charming politician that everyone knew came back. "You wouldn't dare." he growled under his breath, his voice lowering an octave so the stranger couldn't hear it. "Besides, no one would believe you, you filthy Mudbl-" A smile appeared on her face that stopped his words as she turned to the stranger that she was obviously familiar with. "Does it look like I'm enjoying myself, Mustang? I certainly hope it doesn't." She then asked him for help, but at the same time he let go of her arms with an abrupt release, letting her fall from where she was hoisted an inch above the ground. "There's no need." he said in a cool, emotionless voice. "Mrs. White and I were just having a talk, is all. We're done now; you can have her." His golden gaze pined deep into the woman below him, his eyes shooting daggers. She wouldn't dare, would she? A sick smile spread to his face. Even if she did, me and my newest associates would take care of her. His newest business partners were in his debt, after all. They placed him at Hogwarts to look for a some sort of person and or suspicious activity - for what, David wasn't told - and the least they could do was take care of a minor speedbump on his road to power, couldn't they? After all, they had promised him power when they came back to power, and it was only a matter of time before David had the entire Wizarding world - and Mina White, for that matter - in the palm of his hands.
